If you ask a question like how did Choir! Choir! Choir! get so big and become the hottest ticket in Toronto, you might not get a simple answer. Both Nobu Adilman and Daveed Goldman, who lead the five-year-old musical behemoth, say it’s because of the people, the singers and non-singers who come to the smaller weekly sessions as well as the massive event-driven sing alongs. But dig a little deeper into that eager, passionate crowd and you’ll find it’s a lot more complex.

BIG IN BRASIL!
November 2016 in Rio, DaBu led a huge group of Brasilian celebrites and a bunch of choirs in song. The tune was Um Novo Tempo, an infectious classic that gets re-arranged every year, and now the video is playing all over the country to celebrate the holiday season. If that wasn’t enough, they also appeared on the Programa do Jô (Soares), the Letterman of Brasil, where backstage, they met actress Sophie Charlotte!

1500 hundred singers joined Choir! Choir! Choir! for Luminato Festival at the Hearn Generating Station in Toronto. Daveed + Nobu (AKA DaBu) taught them back up parts to Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, then Rufus Wainwright joined them on stage to sing lead.
